Today I woke up with a smile on my face! For the first time I took a step back and LOOKED from the outside looking in at my life. Luke had his normal morning hiccups and body rolls from left to right in my belly, Lilly gave me her normal wet kisses and her head on my chest, my husband left the house with a typical long kiss on the forehead and a sweet "I Love You", the sheets and comforter smelled like sweet fabric softener, and the sun was peaking through the window.... - all of which I never realized how truly lucky I was to have... I closed my eyes and the Lord humbled me at that moment - reminding me that even though I am not a millionaire, I am not a supermodel, that I am not a genius - I have riches far beyond what I deserve.
With all that being said, today's mood is a day of feeling humbled... - and of course blessed.
When I got in the car, Kirk Franklin was on.... and I smiled again.... "......Love a word that comes and goes, But few people really know, What it means to really love somebody, Love, though the tears may fade away, I'm so glad your love will stay, Cause I love you , And you show me, Jesus, What it really means to love..."

ALMOST 35 weeks!
Wow, I have let 5 weeks go by and NO BLOG! I am so sorry to all my friends and family who read this! LOL I update my Facebook with random thoughts, but I don't really ever DETAIL what's going on right now in my body :)
So, here we are at 35 weeks and I feel like I'm physically ready for Luke to be here.. I have made a top 10 reasons why I am ready to NOT be pregnant! lol
10. So I can have my core strength back, instead of wobbling around I can actually use my abs again!
9. So I can stand up and not feel like my hip bones just popped out of place, (loosening ligaments)
8. So I can put on my socks without contorting my body uncomfortably (laying on the bed with feet in air)!
7. So I can drink a glass of water and NOT run to the restroom every 15 minutes later.
6. So I can go jogging and not get winded after 2.3 seconds.
5. So I can eat skittles and starbursts again (Dr. told me to cut back the carbs)
4. So I can see my ankle bones, instead of my extended calfs (cankles)
3. So I can fit in my tennis shoes (feet are too swollen)
2. So I can SLEEP ON MY STOMACH!
AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE LUKE IS SO THAT I CAN....
1. Hold my baby boy, touch him cheek to cheek and tell him he was worth every single annoyance that mommy had to go through :)
I promise to post more later this week :) I took maternity photos this week they are on facebook! :) we had a great time and I KNOW that I have the best husband ever, because he never complains, he never tells me to stop complaining, he LISTENS to me ! I know that he is going to be THE BEST DADDY LUKE COULD EVER HAVE :)

Almost 30 weeks Preggo!!
WOW Its been wayyyy to long since I posted in here! I am sure that I do not have many people who check this, but I am hoping there is a way to keep this blog for the future. Possibly to print out in a little book for Luke... Very soon from now he will be here and all of these posts will be a distant memory! Time truly does fly here on earth... When we are in the thick of all the good things happening in our lives it seems to go by EVEN QUICKER!
I think today I will tell some funny stories about being pregnant!
The other day we were in Hilton Head, SC visiting our dear friends Steve and Stephanie Wisdom. (Stephanie is 32 weeks pregnant). Our lovely husband's had a few drinks so I was the DD naturally :) We drove to a wonderful spot on the island of Hilton head and by the time I got there I had to PEEEEEEE so bad. I was hurting to the point that I had tears in my eyes as we were walking to the yacht that we were going to be visiting for the fireworks. I looked at my husband and told him that the CLOSEST place we get to that has a restroom I AM GOING! Then we came up on this restaurant. I walk in to see a LINE of 30 women in line waiting to go pee. MY eyes REALLY filled up with pain, RIGHT as I was about to just let it all out the next woman in line asked me how far along I was and when I told her I was 30 weeks and I REALLY HAD TO GO, she started campaigning for me to get to the front of the line!.... She spoke so loud and said "WOMEN FOR ALL OF YOU THAT ARE MOTHERS AND FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO AREN'T YET, PLEASE LET THIS PREGNANT MOTHER IN THE FRONT OF THE LINE! SHE IS ALMOST IN TEARS BECAUSE SHE HAS TO PEE SO BAD!" You wouldn't believe the line OPENED UP and they all let me get to the front of the line.. :) I WAS SO RELIEVED!
I had come to the point that I was okay with just peeing my pants and dealing with it for the rest of the night... (to be honest I did leak quite a bit while I was in tears!...)
Let's see what other stories I can come up with later in this week :)
HAPPY DAY EVERYONE!

25 weeks!
Well I think its time for an update so here I am! I think I might dedicate this BLOG to funny pregnancy stories 101! When I sit and think about how life has already changed for me, I laugh! People treat you sooo much different when you have a lil bun in the oven.
The other day I was at work, I decided to go grab a sandwich at Winn Dixie. When I was walking down an aisle, a customer from AT&T saw me. He quickly walked up to me and stood beside me. (This gentlemen was probably 50 years old, long blond hair, super hyper and annoying). He then said to me "WOW, Congratulations huh?" and I looked at him and said "Thank you" HE THEN REACHED AND TOUCHED MY BELLY!!! ahhhhhhhhh!!! NOOOOO without even thinking I backed away and got really awkward... he said "alright well have a good day!" --- Why is it that just because I'm pregnant he thought it was okay to touch the baby! LOL! Funny though.
Second funny preggo story. The other day, I tried to bend over a pick something up and I really couldnt reach the floor! LOL! So I went to my knees to get it, when I tried to get up I was having difficulty, (mostly because the past few weeks my back has been irritating me), well then I just laid on the ground. When I wanted to get up I asked my husband to help me up, he looked at me and said "what's the problem butterball, you need my help?" ahhah I started laughing so hard. Well, when I told some of my friends that he called me a butter ball (sometimes shortens it to butter) some of them looked at me like "HE CALLS YOU THAT!?!!?" ---- YES he calls me that, and its endearing :) He also reminds me that no matter how much butterball I get, he loves me more and more each day! One thing I never want to do is stop having fun with my husband, and part of that is making fun of each other!!
Well I think that is a long BLOG for the day! Thanks for listening- even though I don't really know who reads this! HAHA love you all!

24 week pic update :)
Well here we are at 24 weeks (and 3 days to be exact)... We were headed to our neice and nephew's christening and it was time for the UPDATE pic!
.
This weekend, we got a lot done. We were able to move everything out of Luke's new closet and in to the attic or into other storage places. All that is left is Luke's room now is all of his new stuff! Mom and dad will be here on the 11th of June to set it all up with us! I will be sure to take before and after pics of the room.
.
Other than that, being pregnant is different everyday. Somedays I wake up with a sore back, sometimes with a sore hip... today is good! I feel him moving and moving around all the time, especially when I sit in a stool at work. I try and explain the feeling to my coworkers (men), but they all say "is it like the movie aliens? - where they put an alien in the mans stomach"... LOL gotta love guys! It is a weird feeling though, almost like my tummy is trying to talk to me. I know lil Luke does not have much room in their to grow so he better enjoy the extra room while he has it, because in 8 weeks or so he will have grown double the size and mommy's tummy isnt tall enough to have him stretched out the entire time! :)
.
I think about what he will look like often, I think about what kind of personality he will have, I dream about holding him and hearing him breath, feeling his heart on my heart.... and then I look up to heaven and thank GOD for such a blessing in my life.
.
Miss you all!

24 weeks and 2 days!
BLAH! Okay I decided to write a small snipet today... Because the last 3 days Luke has really been causing mommy a lot of pain. I would have to say the first 6 months of this pregnancy has been a breeze (only a few nauseous moments here and there) but over all I havent been sick, haven't had pains or anything out of the norm. UNTIL this week... I hit the 6 month mark and my back has been KILLING ME! I ordered a support for my belly (since its getting so big) So we will see how that goes..
This weekend is another busy one, getting ready for the baby room in a few weeks to be put together when mom and dad come down from Bothell, and big sister comes a few days later!
I will post some pictures next week as I haven't posted in about a month :) Now that I'm 24 weeks I BETTER UPDATE THE PICS :) Love you all

23 weeks today!
Well, today I am officially 23 weeks pregnant! Everyday it soaks in a little bit more that I will be a mommy. Some people have asked me what I think the coolest thing about being pregnant is, I can honestly say the coolest thing is when I close my eyes at night I can feel Luke inside of my belly. The bond that a mother has with their child is so special. I have heard it a million times before, but until now I never really understood what it meant to have this special bond! It's funny, whenever I talk to him and tell him that mommy loves him more than he will ever know, he kicks! I might be imagining it half the time, but I honestly feel a nudge when I tell him that!
Other than that, yesterday Luke's crib, dresser/changing table, mattress and bedroom set got delivered! We will be "putting it all together" the second weekend in June when Mr. and Mrs. Davis come to visit! There is no theme, but it is going to be chocolate brown, baby blue and tan! SO CUTE for my lil monster man!
I feel as if this week I have really popped out, so I will post a picture next week showing my belly... I told my family I really don't think I have enough room in this tiny lil torso of mine, but somehow Luke will find some space! :)
I miss you all and feel free to post comments on my BlOG cause thats why I am doing this anyway! To get your comments :)
